Bookings: Mario Brox, Concept Entertainment, 604-882-6908 During the past 35 years, Phil “Boz Roz” Rossner has been a performer, songwriter, promoter and music journalist. After playing guitar for numerous bands on Vancouver Island, he formed his own band, The Boz Roz Band, in 1995. The band has recorded two CDs, Shadow of the Thunderbird and Look Into My Eyes which feature original music written by Phil. A third CD, Sonic Mnemonics, is a “best of” compilation that also includes a new bonus track. Phil is presently working on his fourth CD, as yet untitled, in which he will be collaborating with a number of musical friends and colleagues. In 2005, Phil went into the studio with internationally acclaimed blues/rock guitarist, Jimmy Thackery and laid down a track, F.O.G. Blues, which features Thackery on lead guitar. A number of other collaborations are in the works, including one with Canadian guitar whiz Jack Semple and award winning blues harpist Shakey Reay Suter. In 2004, Phil wrote a song, Traveller, which he subsequently recorded in 2005 with his friend Bernie Shaw (Uriah Heep) on lead vocals. There was a total of 13 musicians, including a 6-piece choir, that performed on the song. Traveller is being marketed in Europe as a downloadable MP3 and has garnered excellent feedback. It was also featured on the official Uriah Heep website for over a month. Phil has played hundreds of shows on Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland. Future plans include Canadian and European tours in support of the new CD (which will be released in Autumn, 2006) starting Spring, 2007. For more info visit www.bozroz.com
